Job Description

We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the Global Sourcing team at Spotify. The ideal candidate will have at least 7+ years of experience at a global organization with solid experience within strategic sourcing/procurement. The position will be based in NYC.

Primarily responsible for professional and corporate services commodities which will include sourcing and procurement of various indirect categories to support our users and offices around the world. You will define and set category strategies and drive cost savings when possible for multiple categories. You will be a key interface between business functions and the strategic procurement function. Experience in dealing with major HR services contracts, including corporate benefit providers, (i.e. medical insurance, dental insurance, health benefit brokers etc.) is highly desirable in addition to experience in facility management category management.

What You'll Do

• You will set overall commodity strategy & direction. This will include developing and ensuring that category strategies are executed.
• You will act as an advisory and subject matter expert around the sourcing of multiple indirect categories
• You will independently execute and advise teams on strategic sourcing best practices including RFx and negotiation management. Your ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships will be key to being successful in this role. You are analytical and have the ability to conduct spend analysis together with identifying cost saving opportunities.
• You are also well versed in considering total cost of ownership implications and identifying outsourcing opportunities as well as process streamlining/improvement opportunities.
• You will manage a portfolio of spend categories and establish both short & long term category plans. This will include setting category strategies for various categories. Seek opportunities for change and drive the change plan to create greater savings, higher quality or reduced risk for the organization.
• Collaborates with business leaders to find opportunities to reduce costs.
• Finalize and present recommendations to business stakeholders/leaders. Take the lead and provide guidance during negotiations including complex agreements. Ensure sourcing events are completed, savings are captured and appropriately calculated.
• Identifies/monitors new sources of supply. Segment suppliers and ensure consistent management across all categories. Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships for new and existing suppliers. Develop supplier scorecards and facilitate regular supplier reviews to track savings, supplier performance and service levels.

Who You Are

• 7+ years of experience.
• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, CPSM preferred
• Wide experience in handling multiple spend categories.
• Previous experience of strategic sourcing within some or all of the following categories is highly desirable: Corporate & Professional Services experience overall. Experience in particular in dealing with major HR services contracts, including corporate benefit providers, (i.e. medical insurance, dental insurance, health benefit brokers etc.) is highly desirable in addition to experience in facility management category management. Experience of marketing category related strategic procurement is also considered an asset.

Where You'll Be

• This position is located in our New York, NY office 2-3 days per week

The United States base range for this position is $99,573-$142,247, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. Spotify
