Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Specialist, CAR-T Site Materials Buyer Planner to join a motivated team of materials management and supply chain professionals. This individual is expected to efficiently manage a team supporting materials buying and planning activities for site CAR-T program including, purchase order placement, maintenance of promise delivery time, interpreting and analyzing of demand and usage requirements for materials, establish reordering and safety stock quantities, analyze order fulfillment and inventory trends to support adequate levels of materials, and collaboration with internal and external partners. Leveraging state-of-the art cGMP facility, this position will make use of existing innovations and future technologies to support supply demand.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of PO life cycle; generation, order follow-up & invoice management. Set up and maintain purchasing parameters required for buying.
Execute robust supplier relationship management and maintain strong communication with critically suppliers. Support site stakeholders in sourcing and procuring materials.
Develop and improve inventory models for raw materials, components, and reagents, ensuring that production demands are continuously met through periods of high growth and expansion.
Manage all inventory activities and analysis, including but not limited to inventory control, inventory management, warehouse storage capacity assessments, and final product availability. Develop and define performance metrics for all raw material and final product inventory and identify cost savings opportunities.
Monitor KPIs that measure processes to ensure materials planning and buying are completed with excellence. Improve forecast models by reviewing historical raw material trends and predict demand to maximize supply chain efficiency. Reconcile monthly inventory of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging components.
Independently lead programs and process robustness in materials buying & planning standard work measurements, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance site processes, procedures, and tools.
Proactive manage supply positions, projections, supplier delivery and capacity risk, and identify cost savings opportunities.
Act as a source of knowledge in areas of supply chain best practices and methodologies. Work cohesively with cross-functional teams in support of operational efficiency, flexibility, and assurance of material availability. Collaborate on process improvements by maintaining open communication with all teams and fostering an environment of cooperation in which to achieve shared goals.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Knowledge & Skills:
Advanced knowledge of fundamental concepts of materials requirements, planning and procurement including inventory management, cycle counts, expediting and order placement.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of team development and collaboration.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong focus and attention to detail.
Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and maintain a strong attention to detail.
Flexible scheduling required.
APICS certification is a plus.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.
1-2 years' relevant experience with materials planning, purchasing, or inventory management roles within cGMP operations.
