Position Title: Senior Accountant

Wage: $88,000 - $110,000/year

Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is partnering with a strong manufacturing company in Mundelein, IL to staff a Senior Accountant position. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong GAAP knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting audits, and driving process improvements. This is a full-time, fully onsite, direct hire position that offers a competitive salary and bonus potential

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial data and variances, providing actionable insights
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation
- Prepare sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings
- Maintain integrity of financial records and internal controls
- Collaborate across departments to optimize reporting and operations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Requirements for Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or distribution
- Strong US GAAP knowledge and general ledger experience
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- High level of integrity and confidentiality with sensitive data
