At GardaWorld, we know your compensation is important so we provide competitive hourly starting rates for every market we’re in. We're growing our team here in Marshalltown, IA:
Pay: $16.53 / hour + company benefits including vacation and vacation pay, paid training, 401k, and more!
Schedule:Must be avaible to work various 3rd shift (overnight) schedules in a full-time capacity.
About the job:Respond rapidly to security breaches, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical incidents within the assigned area.
Mediate and de-escalate potentially volatile situations, employing effective communication and conflict resolution techniques.
Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized access, vandalism, or theft. Ensure that security protocols and access control measures are enforced.
Administer basic first aid when required and coordinate with emergency medical services in case of injuries or illnesses.
Document all incidents, activities, and observations accurately in incident reports. Maintain detailed records of security-related events.
Operate and maintain security equipment such as surveillance cameras, alarm systems, communication devices, and access control systems.
Collaborate with other security personnel, law enforcement, and emergency services to coordinate responses to complex security situations.
Routine foot and vehicle patrols of client properties (company patrol vehicles provided during work hours).
Stay current on security protocols, emergency response procedures, and any specialized training required for the position.
You observe, survey the area, and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors, and clients.
Other duties as assigned.
Your background:You have a high school education or equivalent (GED).
You’re able to pass an extensive screening process.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
Iowa state security license provided by GardaWorld Security.
Strong driving skills.
CPR and first aid certification (training provided)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Computer literacy skills.
Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
