In business for over 16 years, Green Energy Biofuel LLC (GEB) is a recycling company that specializes in supplying biofuel feedstock to the largest biofuel producers in the world. Biofuels are derived from renewable organic materials, such as vegetable oils, animal fats, and recycled cooking oil, making them a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option compared to conventional fossil fuels.

Our primary focus is on collecting waste cooking oil from various sources, including restaurants, food manufacturers, and other establishments. Recently, GEB has expanded its services to include composting and depackaging to separate High Oil Yield (HOY) food waste from packaging to further assist food manufacturers in reduction of waste.

At GEB, we are passionate about sustainability and innovation in the biofuel industry. General Description

Work in coordination with leadership of the company to help ensure daily and long-term production schedules are met for waste oil processing. Plant operator responsibilities include plant maintenance and plant staff management while maintaining safety as a top priority.

Process Operator Responsibilities:

• Safety First: Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations to uphold a strong safety culture. Identify and promptly address workplace hazards .
• Operate various production equipment/ machines to process materials in compliance with applicable safety, energy, or environmental regulations.
• Monitor material flow or instruments, such as temperature or pressure gauges, indicators, or meters, to ensure optimal processing conditions.
• Turn valves or move controls to admit, drain, separate, filter, clarify, mix, or transfer materials.
• Set up or adjust machine controls to regulate conditions such as material flow, temperature, or pressure.
• Assist in load out and receiving functions, which include preparing trucks and rail cars for shipment and loading/unloading products (oils and fats, process ingredients)
• Conduct continuous inspections of key process points, make necessary machinery and equipment adjustments, identify problems on equipment, and continually monitor equipment under your direction
• Gather samples of laboratory analysis as scheduled/required, and perform and record required control analyses.
• Support company sustainability initiatives
• Other duties as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift and drag heavy items, climb safely on fixed ladders, tolerate hot and foul smelling environment
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge and experience in the use of various hand tools
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to become forklift trained and certified
• Capability to be trained and certified to enter confined spaces if needed (upon successful completion of requirements)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee has to be able to frequently pull, lift and carry in excess of 50 pounds. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday.

Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
