Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Duty Post: On Site

Hours/Week: 40

Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma

Weekend Work: None

Travel Required: No

Security Requirement: Yes (Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card)

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks for building systems. This includes troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and modifying systems such as plumbing, electrical, overhead doors & gates, fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, automatic doors, carpet & tile floors, drywall & painting, ceiling tiles, lights, emergency systems, door hardware, and elevators. The technician is also responsible for maintaining documentation and ensuring all tools and equipment are inspected and accounted for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair building systems, including electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct inspections and maintain tools and equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Complete documentation as required by policy and supervisor.
• Utilize basic office equipment and computer skills for document completion and research.

Required Skills:

• Experience in building maintenance.
• Ability to conduct inspections and maintain tools and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment, including computers, internet research, and completing documents.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working in state facilities.

Onboarding & Bid Requirements:

• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

Tenure: Approximately 3 months
