Wilmington College (WC) is an independent college in Southwest, Ohio with a reputation for providing "hands-on learning opportunities." Founded in 1870 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), WC hosts approximately 1,000 students on its campus in Wilmington, Ohio. Sport Management stands as one of the largest programs at Wilmington College, housed within the Sport Sciences Area. Job Description:

Wilmington College is seeking a qualified candidate for a Coordinator of Esports - Instructor of Esports Management position to begin Spring 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

Activities of all faculty members at Wilmington College include exemplary teaching, curriculum development, and student advising; professional attainment; and service to the department, college, and community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach undergraduate courses in the Esports Management Program. Experience teaching the following courses is preferred: Contemporary Issues in Esports, Esports Seminar, The Esports Industry, and Introduction to Esports Management.
  • Provide service to the Sport Management Program, Sport Sciences Area, College, and broader academic and professional communities.
  • Advise and mentor students, assisting with their academic and career planning.
  • Engage in outreach activities to strengthen relationships within the Esports Industry.
  • Oversee the Esports Management Minors' curriculum and assessment.
  • Advise the Esports Student Club and Esports Teams.
  • Assist the Esports Club in scheduling collegiate competitions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Esports Management, Sport Management, or related discipline. Consideration will be given to candidates based upon significant experience in the Esport's Industry.

Other qualifications include:

  • A demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and industry professionals
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Blackboard, and Jenzabar
