Overview Job Summary : MPC Financial Corporation, a professional full-service accounting & income tax preparation firm has an immediate need for an Income Tax Preparer for our growing business. This position is perfect for an individual who is looking to join a fast-paced, diverse, and hands-on client environment. The ideal candidate must be a well-organized, self-directed individual with strong motivation, and willingness to take initiative. The right candidate will work closely with our other accountants and operations personnel handling all accounting and income tax-related tasks. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities Be comfortable meeting one-on-one with clients and advise on the tax preparation process. Enter client’s personal and financial data into Drake Tax Software. Analyze documents and financial data submitted to maximize the client’s outcome. Adhere to company standards and procedures for filing individual and business income taxes. Electronically prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner. Inspect all tax forms for completeness and accuracy. Ensure confidentiality by following company guidelines and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in tax preparation. Familiar with using Drake Tax Software is a must. Aware of new tax laws and changes. Have a PTIN or willing to obtain one with the IRS is a plus. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases. Ability to speak Spanish is a must. Licenses & Certifications PTIN is required or willing to obtain. Enrolled Agent is a plus but not required. Schedule & Location Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 8 PM with additional hours during tax season.
