Entry Level Accounting Services Specialist

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an Entry Level Accounting Services Specialist for our Columbus, Ohio location. Responsibilities:

• Assisting with daily administrative tasks with new accounts, tax exemptions, and address validations.
• Assisting with daily administrative tasks associated with cash application, new accounts, sales tax, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Providing exceptional service to customers, sales representatives, and internal staff.
• Contacting sales representatives to obtain any missing new account details to ensure accurate customer account records.
• Efficiently setting up new accounts.
• Professionally handling calls and voicemail.
• Assisting with tax certificate requests and preparation of sales tax audit requests as needed.
• Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth processes.
• Interacting with customers, sales reps, and internal associates to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries, and maintain positive relationships.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; some college is preferred.
• General business experience.
• Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and managers; in written and verbal form.
• Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion while performing job tasks.
• This position requires computer literacy - specifically Microsoft Office and Excel.
• This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• This position requires an individual who is dependable (i.e. reports to work daily, barring any unforeseen circumstances).
• The successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period.

• Monday - Friday, Hours: 8:30am-5pm
