Vuori is looking for a proactive, business-minded Commercial Counsel to join our team. This role will serve as a key advisor to our business partners across a broad range of commercial activities to support our growing company. In this capacity, you’ll be instrumental in helping shape legal strategies, develop infrastructure, and provide well-rounded legal support.

What you'll get to do: 

• Comprehensive Legal Support: Provide legal counsel on a broad range of commercial matters, including commercial contracts, content production, events & activations, and promotions. 
• Varied Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including marketing, vendor, wholesale, and consulting and service agreements, to align with Vuori’s interests and comply with applicable laws. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Wholesale, Operations, People & Culture, and other teams, ensuring legal alignment and supporting broader business goals. 
• Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate legal risks, staying up-to-date on relevant laws and ensuring the company’s practices are compliant. 
• Infrastructure and Strategy: Help build and refine Vuori’s legal infrastructure and operations. 

Who you are: 

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (CA preferred). 
• 7+ years of legal experience 
• Familiarity with: 
• FTC and state consumer protection laws 
• U.S. privacy laws (e.g., CCPA, CAN-SPAM) 
• Trademark and copyright issues in commercial content 
• Talent agreements and publicity rights 
• Clear and concise contract drafting and negotiation skills. 
• Exceptional judgment, with the ability to weigh legal risk against creative and business goals. 
• Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and highly organized -- thrives in a fast-paced environment. 
• Experience working in-house at a consumer brand or with lifestyle/retail clients is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $173,000 per year - $222,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
