Acme Distribution was founded in 1947 from the back of a station wagon and has now grown into a full national distribution center. Acme's corporate office is located in Aurora, and we occupy a million square-feet of warehouse space throughout the Denver metro area. We are currently seeking Class A drivers to grow our onsite transportation fleet. Our driver's must possess and maintain a Class A - Commercial Driver’s License. Have a clear understanding of all state and federal DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations and policies. Be able to deliver and pickup general freight to/from warehousing facility or to/from individual retail locations.
Our drivers are Teamsters 17, so along with competitive wages we also pay $4000+ a year into a pension.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Knowledge of metro area
Pick-up and delivery of piggyback trailers to various shippers and consignees
Load and unload trucks and trailers
Knowledge of DOT, warehouse, and shipping documentation; Freight bills, BOL's, Over-Short-Damage reports, Manifest, Driver's log
Maintain clear and clean driver's record
Maintain safety policies in warehouse,docks,driving,loading and unloading
Complete deliveries in a timely manner
Communication with dispatch office
Ability to lift up to 90 lbs
Pre-Post dispatch equipment inspections
Safe operations of all equipment
0-6 months of driving experience
Medical/Dental available after 60 days
