At Plant 10 in our Whitehall Casting Operation, we’re looking for a hands-on change agent who can knit together people, processes, and equipment. Picture yourself rolling out ABS, elevating EHS across shifts, and engaging teams to deliver safer, higher-quality outcomes at lower cost. Imagine walking the floor, spotting waste, and implementing better ways of working—then joining safety inspections and housekeeping audits to keep standards high.

Your impact
  • Run a cohesive team: set direction in regular meetings, manage staffing and time, drive performance reviews, and assign work to meet plan.
  • Develop talent with clear feedback—celebrate wins and address gaps with documented actions.
  • Lead orientation and ongoing training so EHS rules are understood and policies, practices, procedures, and initiatives land with clarity.
  • Maintain compliance with the collective bargaining agreement; work constructively with union officials and resolve grievances.
  • Scrutinize production/operations reports; tackle manufacturing and maintenance problems to contain cost and avoid delays.
  • Investigate deviations; recommend fixes that stabilize schedules, cost, quality, and other key variables.
  • Equip teams with the right tools, equipment, and supplies; reinforce the help chain.
  • Partner with management, engineering, and quality to strengthen machines/equipment and improve operating conditions.
  • Review procedures for safety compliance and address concerns immediately.
  • Design and implement new methods and procedures to improve operations and maximize labor/material utilization.
  • Participate in plant safety inspections and housekeeping audits.
  • Adhere to all EHS rules required for the work environment.
  • And when needed, take on other duties as assigned.

  • Bring structure to complex multi-stakeholder work.
  • Lead autonomously; make decisions confidently and embrace feedback.
Qualifications Minimum
  • High school diploma or GED (accredited).
  • 5+ years in manufacturing OR at least 1 year of Howmet supervisory/leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of supervisory/managerial experience.
Preferred
  • BS in Engineering or Business.
  • Investment casting experience.
  • Clear, confident presenter with customers, managers, and employees.
  • Leadership that drives engagement and directly manages supervisors.
  • Proficiency with lean, total quality, Six Sigma, and 6S to drive improvements.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Well-rounded analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Financial literacy.
