About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and manage all financial aspects, including budgeting, financial planning, accounting, and financial reporting. The CFO will be responsible for leading the accounting function, ensuring compliance with FEC and IRS regulations, and maintaining the internal control system. This role involves advising on administrative and operational efforts, presenting financial information to various stakeholders, and administering the company's financial systems and processes. The CFO will also be involved in strategic projects, budget formation, and will support the operations team with financial expertise. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a strong financial background, with a CPA preferred, and at least 10 years' of work experience, including a significant amount of time in accounting, budgeting, and a managerial role. Experience with FEC compliance regulations is strongly preferred, and a background in public accounting and non-profit organizations is a plus. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience with spreadsheets, be adept at developing financial models, and have a proven track record of communicating financial insights to stakeholders. The CFO will also be responsible for leading and mentoring the accounting and vetting & compliance team, so strong leadership and management skills are essential.
