POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides basic leadership skills for assigned patients, collaborates with other departments and begins process of proactive thinking when implementing the plan of care. Serves as mentor to the staff nurse and ancillary personnel; receives mentoring from Staff Nurse II and III; and Patient Care Coordinator at University Health Surgery Center – MAC situated within Morgan’s Multi-Assistance Center at 5210 Thousand Oaks Dr. in San Antonio, TX. University Health Surgery Center – MAC is an ambulatory surgery center that offers multiple specialties with a primary focus on catering to the special needs and pediatric population
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year's experience required. Verification of course completion in accordance with all American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider guidelines is required. BSN is highly preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse is required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
