Job Description
Middle school educator license or program certification preferred
2-4 years experience preferred
Qualifications
Demonstrates a mastery of all related subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials for subjects taught.
Ability to work with students in various learning and emotional developmental stages.
Ability to provide positive behavioral support to students in group and individual settings.
Competency in student behavior management.
Well-organized with a positive work ethic, strong communication skills, basic technology skills, and a flexibility to work with diverse students and staff.
Duties
Responsible for planning and implementation of instructional and behavioral classroom work and activities.
Provide consistent, immediate feedback to student learning.
Maintain a physical classroom that is conducive to the learning and developmental process.
Manage day-to-day classroom life
Support necessary behavioral and emotional management and maintain control of students.
Collaborate with elementary school staff to ensure an inviting and nurturing environment for every child.
Communicate effectively with parents and community members.
Evaluate student performance using formal and informal assessment activities and measures.
Responsible for the completion of all record keeping.
Fulfill all schedule requirements and attend mandatory staff meetings and professional development.
Maintain a professional manner and appearance at all times.
