About The Job We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Director to lead our youth programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with children and adolescents, along with the ability to foster a supportive and engaging environment for them and their parents. This person will be responsible for planning activities and events, providing mentorship and counseling, and is responsible for developing, coordinating, and leading programs that nurture spiritual growth, personal development, leadership skills, and community service for and in, our children and youth. Responsibilities include teaching Bible studies, organizing discipleship programs, and providing spiritual direction. The director will also mentor youth leaders and communicate effectively with parents and volunteers. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in youth ministry, Christian education, psychology, or a related field (preferred) Minimum of 2 years experience working with children and youth in a ministry setting Ability to demonstrate at least one year of leadership experience that inspires trust and motivates others Experience working with children or adolescents in a leadership, mentoring or educational capacity. Strong knowledge of the Bible and ability to provide spiritual direction Familiarity with Christian counseling practices is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to children, teens, parents, church staff and volunteers Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills with the ability to organize successful activities Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office and social media management Valid driver\'s license and ability to pass a background check Note: Position may require travel and overnight stays for youth trips and retreats.
