Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a current IL RN license and strong procedural skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in an interventional radiology unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Day shifts scheduled as 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Mandatory on-call rotation, including weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage
• Requires every other weekend or two weekends per month on rotation
• Floating required within the Radiology and Pain departments, and possibly to other units within a 50-mile radius based on facility need
• Use of Cerner EMR is standard in this setting
• Staff are required to wear lead for radiation protection
• Patient caseload consists of interventional radiology and pain management cases
• Responsibilities include circulating and/or monitoring during IR procedures and pain management interventions
• Team-based floating may occur if floated outside primary competency area
• Navy blue scrubs required; not provided by the facility
• Compliance with a strict time off policy: up to 5 days total, no more than 2 consecutive days, no weekend or holiday RTO, and no RTO on days adjacent to a holiday
• COVID vaccination required; booster not required
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests are permitted
• Orientation and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced
• Locals are accepted and preferred

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 2 years' RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proof of all required vaccinations must be submitted at least one week prior to start date
• Must reside within 75 miles to be considered for the local rate
• Ability to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting assignment
