Position Overview:
Under the general direction of the Operations Training Director, the Training Specialist will be responsible for developing and facilitating training modules and processes at the operational level. As such, you will be expected to act as a Redwood brand ambassador, promote our brand, and provide the best resident experience possible. All Redwood employees are expected to conduct all organizational business and practices in accordance to Redwood company policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create training and development materials for a variety of subjects and areas related to property management policies and sales.
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions for site level teams.
  • Oversee the New Hire Training Center and New Hire Trainings monthly.
  • Ensure that new hires attending New Hire Training are well-versed in all Redwood policies and procedures, sales, and YARDI software.
  • Design training assessment tools and role play scenarios to advance the learning process for site level teams.
  • Work with other departments and subject matter experts to create, update, and communicate property operational training materials.
  • Develop eLearning courses within Redwood University / Yardi Aspire.
  • Ensure continuous development and make recommendations for site level training based on needs of the Operations team.
  • Identify knowledge and skill gaps to deliver specific training opportunities.
  • Create and update the neighborhood team required forms, not limited to leases, addendums, checklist, and other tracking items
  • Facilitate and monitor Training programs (such as “Neighborhood Manager in Training” or “Redwood Operations Leadership Experience” programs) with assigned candidates.
  • Plan, organize, and implement multiple training tasks and projects on a concurrent, real-time basis.
  • Present trainings with a confident public presence.
  • Provide continuous development and training based on specific needs of Redwood property operations.
  • All other related duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be located (or able to relocate) to the Cleveland/Copley, Ohio area
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • 25% to 30% travel required at times

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or training experience
  • 2-3 years of onsite office property management experience
  • YARDI software experience
  • 3 years of training experience

Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment. In this role, the employee will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, desk phones, iPhone, photocopiers, etc. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, and walk with the ability to lift 20 pounds where applicable.
