**Job Description**
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. has multiple openings for a Traffic / ITS Engineer to be based in Minneapolis, MN.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Work on technologies that are planned, designed, and installed for multiple types of transportation agencies to address specific transportation needs.
+ Work on an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Architecture project that involves a state-of-the-practice review on how multiple other states have developed ITS architectures to plan for future ITS projects.
+ Support the planning and design efforts for a Bus Rapid Transit project through use of Synchro and Vissim traffic modeling software to evaluate the impacts of transit service on traffic operations at intersections in the corridor area.
+ Traffic operations analysis and evaluation for intersections and supporting Intersection Control Evaluations.
+ Support automated vehicle projects at AECOM through data entry that supports the evaluation of an automated transit shuttle demonstration project.
+ Involved in planning and designing projects for a variety of clients in public and private industries.
+ Be part of cutting-edge design projects that utilize the latest technologies for improving all modes of transportation.
+ May telecommute.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Civil Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Traffic Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Preparing engineering plans, construction documents, maps, reports, construction cost estimates, and other project-related items.
2. Traffic operations evaluation.
3. Performing safety and operational analysis.
4. Conceptual design of improvement alternatives based on analysis findings.
5. Preparation of project studies of varying types and complexities.
6. Reading, analyzing, and interpreting engineering and construction documents and government regulations.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,325.00 - $96,301.63.
