We seek a motivated SEO professional passionate about media and entertainment to join our growing Growth Marketing team! The Technical SEO Specialist will play a crucial role in driving organic traffic and improving the visibility of soundcloud.com. This individual will conduct technical audits, implement SEO best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal website performance.

This position can be remotely based on the East Coast of the United States. However, we can't hire remote candidates based in the following locations: Delaware, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, West Virginia, Virginia, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify and optimize content for target keywords and phrases
  • Optimize website content, meta tags, image alt text, and headers to improve search engine visibility
  • Monitor and analyze website performance metrics to track SEO progress
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to create SEO-friendly website structures and layouts to enhance user experience and search engine crawlability
  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits to identify and address website issues that may impact search engine rankings, including broken links, slow page load times, and duplicate content
  • Create and submit XML sitemaps to search engines to help them understand and index our website's content
  • Implement schema markup to provide search engines with additional context about our content and improve rich snippet visibility
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website SEO and staying up-to-date with SEO trends and best practices
  • Work closely with content creators to ensure SEO-friendly content is produced
  • Measure content performance and make data-driven recommendations
  • Generate regular reports on SEO metrics and key performance indicators
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize SEO strategies
Experience and Background:
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO with a focus in media and entertainment industries
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON-LD and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • Familiarity with server-side rendering, single-page applications, and how bots crawl a site
  • Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush)
  • Prior experience in SEO E-commerce is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of social media marketing and optimization is a plus
  • Proficiency in A/B testing and conversion rate optimization is a bonus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

The salary range for this role is $90,000-120,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!
