Base pay range $50.00/hr - $70.00/hr Job Description A great UHY client is seeking a Tax Consultant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, Tax Provision (ASC740) experience and both federal and state and local compliance experience. The Tax Consultant is an onsite position. This is a temporary, contracted position. Responsibilities Prepare and refresh tax work papers to support provision and compliance processes. Input and maintain tax data within OneSource tax software. Pull and review tax reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Perform first-level materiality reviews to identify variances and issues. Collaborate with local and regional teams to gather and validate tax data. Tie out deferred tax balances and assist in the preparation of journal entries. Prepare and validate account reconciliations related to tax accounts. Prepare cash tax rollforwards and other supporting schedules. Assist in calculating and documenting book-to-tax adjustments. Support Federal and State & Local tax compliance filings and related documentation. Contribute to process improvements and leverage technology to enhance efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 4–5 years (or more) of relevant tax experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. Strong understanding of Tax Provision (ASC 740) concepts. Experience in Federal and State & Local tax compliance required. CPA certification or Master of Science in Taxation (MST) preferred. Experience with partnership taxation preferred. Proficiency in OneSource Tax Provision or similar tax software. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) required. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
