Production drafter to join our dynamic team, where you'll contribute to a variety of exciting structural engineering projects. Whether you're just starting your career or are an experienced designer, we have a role that fits your skills and aspirations.
These positions are available at any of our California offices, including San Luis Obispo, San Leandro, Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Juan Capistrano, and San Diego.
YOUR ROLE LOOKS LIKE: Production Drafter I: Entry-Level Opportunity - Assist with engineering plans using AutoCAD.
- Work collaboratively with senior staff to develop your understanding of structural design.
- Contribute to project mark-ups, site visits (rarely) , and ensure that CAD work meets RRM's standards.
Production Drafter II: Build on Your Experience - Prepare engineering plans with AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with engineers and CAD staff to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
- Participate in project coordination, incorporating construction details and ensuring project deadlines are met.
Production Drafter III: Lead and Innovate - Manage design and CAD direction for small projects or portions of larger projects.
- Providing design and CAD direction to junior staff.
- Assist in the preparation of task budgets within a proposal, under the direction of a Project Manager.
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE: Production Drafter I - High School diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of structural engineering drafting experience.
- AutoCAD training preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
Production Drafter II - Associate's or technical degree in CAD or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of structural engineering drafting experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
Production Drafter III - Associate's or technical degree in CAD or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD

Salary Description
Base on skills & experience: $25.00 - $38.25/hr RRM Design Group, Inc.
