A premier teaching hospital in New York City is looking to hire a Stroke Neurology Physician Assistant (PA).

Responsibilities

• Obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations; writing progress notes, procedure notes, and monthly care plans, ordering and/or performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; conducting pre and post-operative examinations; formulating a diagnosis; developing and implementing a treatment plan; monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions; offering counseling and education to meet patient needs; making appropriate referrals.
• Works collaboratively with the attending physician to maintain timely and appropriate communication with patients and family members
• Work within the team to identify potential stroke patients; knowledge of the stroke code is a plus.
• Schedule: 4x10, 7am-5pm,

• Bachelor's Degree
• Graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant program
• Registered as a Physician's Assistant in New York State
• BLS & ACLS
• NYS Physician Assistant License
• NCCPA certification
