About The Position

The Columbia Sales team collaborates with external partners (from wholesale key accounts to independent boutiques) and internal teams including Merchandising, Marketing, and Design to understand the needs of consumers and the realities of the marketplace, and how our product best fits this equation. The Sales team's business savvy and sales strategy expertise contribute to strong working relationships and solid results.

The Senior SEO Specialist is responsible for writing clear and compelling copy for a wide variety of online customer partners, informing and engaging target consumers and audiences. They will develop best-in-class copy to engage and convert consumers while educating consumers about products, sustainability initiatives, and innovative technologies.

How You'll Make A Difference

  • Write clear, compelling, error-free copy with an understanding of the importance of voice and tone in brand communications.
  • Develop content marketing for B2C technology and B2B/B2C marketing with an eye to the outdoors.
  • Partner closely with various teams to develop and communicate seasonal narratives and product stories.
  • Design and construct layouts for online PDPs, category landing pages, and other as determined by wholesale.com customers.
  • Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices in SEO into work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

You Are

  • Excellent at writing, editing and proofreading, and have strong research skills.
  • Organized with strong time-management; ability to manage competing priorities, duties and/or projects.
  • Detail oriented and proficient with technical tools and systems.
  • Knowledgeable of the English language and have the ability to write clear, precise SEO copy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.

You Have

  • A Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's in marketing, communications, journalism or related field.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience and strong competency with the various tools, systems, or procedures required to accomplish the job.
  • 5+ years of SEO experience with a proven track record of optimizing websites, mobile, video, and/or social.
  • Thorough understanding of SEO best practices, search engine trends and search engine algorithms.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an ad/design agency or communications company, preferred.
  • Proven experience as a copywriter or related role for technical products through various mediums including experience writing copy to be translated for global markets, strongly preferred.
  • Preferred: graphic design experience
  • Preferred: Amazon advertising and paid search experience

Salary Range: $87,300 - $146,000 *Pay decisions are determined by multiple factors, including what the market is paying, a candidate's capabilities and skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
