Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid) . The role involves working with distributed systems, managing Big Data, and applying test-driven development and agile practices.
Rate Range: $65/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Software Engineer job responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain software applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Design and implement distributed systems for scalable and efficient solutions.
Work with Big Data technologies to process and analyze large datasets.
Write clean, testable code following test-driven development practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Utilize knowledge of financial markets and products to optimize software solutions.
Maintain and enhance object-oriented (no-SQL) database systems.
Continuously improve software performance and security.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
Strong technical coding skills, preferably in Python or other programming languages.
Experience in financial services, especially in areas like Counterparty Credit Risk or pricing.
