Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 school in Hephzibah, GA, is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter for a contract position lasting the current school year (CSY). This role is ideal for a professional with experience in educational settings and the ability to support students and staff through effective American Sign Language interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and professional sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events.
• Facilitate munication to ensure full access to the curriculum and school activities for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of munication strategies tailored to individual student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards in all interactions.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification or relevant credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter.
• Experience working in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students.
