Upper Valley Services (UVS) is one of Vermont’s designated non-profit agencies serving people with developmental disabilities and adults who are eligible for Adult Family Care.
UVS is seeking a Shared Living Provider for a bright 40-year-old man. Support this active individual at your home, in the community, and assist him in developing meaningful routines and improving his communication skills. He is looking for a lively peer to assist him as a communication partner, accompany him on regularly scheduled outings, and help him develop new interests and activities. This individual enjoys music, walking, spending time outdoors, sports, movies and being read to.
The ideal candidate is someone that is looking to work from home and willing to provide opportunities each day that are meaningful rather than rushed or demanding. Someone that appreciates the reward of helping a person pursue their dreams and goals.
Medical background or experience in health care preferred. Must be able to help with lifting and transfers. Reliable transportation, clean driving and background check is necessary. CPR and First Aid and Safety Mechanics training provided.
