What will your role be?

Scalian is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team, where you will develop and implement advanced models within our simulation environment to enhance autonomous systems. You'll work with a collaborative team to build and simulate complex systems, ensuring their performance and reliability in real-world scenarios. Your role will focus on creating models that support system interactions, sensor data generation, communication statuses, and tracking mechanisms to ensure overall system accuracy and robustness.

Activities:

  • Develop and integrate models into the simulation environment, ensuring they function smoothly and accurately reflect real-world scenarios
  • Perform detailed testing and validation to verify model performance and accuracy under different conditions
  • Work closely with engineers and simulation experts to ensure model development aligns with the project’s objectives and broader system requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that models meet operational and system requirements, and provide insights for improvements
  • Create thorough documentation to describe the models, including design, usage, and performance data
  • Identify and address potential issues in models, offering solutions to improve functionality or efficiency
  • Stay current with advancements in simulation and modeling technologies, applying new insights to improve model accuracy and efficiency

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a Master’s degree
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB, with experience in simulation environments
  • Expereince in Aerospace or Automotive in a preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to build models that accurately reflect complex systems
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical details to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, focused on innovation and continuous improvement in model development
  • Experience with debugging and optimizing models for better performance and scalability
  • Hybrid work opportunity, with three days per week required on-site and flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week
