Senior Product Designer (Hybrid - New York or San Jose, CA) Description We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our partner's team. Responsibilities Attending meetings, working closely with PMs to review product strategy and look at it from a user point of view to determine if it makes sense or if other things within product should be prioritized. Working closely with developers - understanding what technical limitations might be at times. Using design systems and interfacing with design systems teams (weekly critique session, presenting to management, helping PMs). Close collaboration with UX research and content design. Will present to team members, so have good speaking skills, and exceptional communication skills. Knowing how to use and prototype in Figma. Will be the only designer on the team, so there might be a learning curve if the candidate is used to working on a team with multiple designers. Qualifications 8 to 10+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or related roles. Working with Native apps (particularly Apple). Figma skills and working with design systems. Exceptional communication skills, ability to defend your designs & knowing how to compromise. Financial industry experience (very nice to have) Exceptional presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively. Mentoring experience (will need to mentor junior developers).
