This position may include lead designer tasks. "This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership" #LI-SNH Major Responsibilities: Responsibilities include the development of drawings/documents for General Arrangements and piping isometrics. Monitors work for compliance with applicable codes, project standards, discipline standards and accepted engineering/construction practices. Provide input for work planning and scheduling of discipline related deliverables in accordance with contract and project requirements. Coordinate 3D model activities, interference reconciliation within the discipline and with other physical disciplines. Develops conceptual designs, scope book, quantity and job hour estimates and schedules during the development stage of the projects. Ensures that engineering designs performed by the discipline team are coordinated with the overall team and are consistent with project technical requirements and scope. Education and Experience Requirements: AA/AS or Certificate in Engineering/CAD with 7-8 years of experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills: U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education. Hands-on experience using a 3D piping design platform and isometric extraction (S3D preferred) Extensive knowledge & application of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 codes For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
