Job Summary The jobholder is responsible for all aspects of demand planning for a specific business set, group of materials and/or producing plants. Accountable for providing accurate visibility of the demand to all stakeholders and assisting in identifying growth opportunities as well as any risk factors to the current plan. Drive the forecast accuracy improvements within the assigned area. Collaborate and build/maintain relationships with business partners (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance, Production Planning) to gain insight on sales activities, market trends, and capacity status. Ensure adherence to demand planning process by all stakeholders. Maintain annual, monthly, and interim demand plans.Lead the continuous improvements for the collaborative demand planning process, data, and technology.Mentor and lead teammates and stakeholders in demand management.
Duties and Responsibilities - Develop, aggregate, coordinate, and rationalize the statistical forecast with sales, marketing, and customer forecast data across the Salt Group.
- Extract, validate, and control system parameters and demand data used for statistical modeling.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain team, Manufacturing, Logistics and Procurement to effectively align global supply with the demand plan of record.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement within the Salt Group's supply chain.
- Prepare and give detailed data-driven reports and accompanying insights to functional partners, focused on identification of changes, risks and opportunities in the demand planning.
- Extract insights from data and be able to communicate clearly appropriate triggers and actions.
- Ensure product strategy, contract changes, market dynamics, and product substitutions are accurately reflected in the demand forecast.
- Key leader in the Integrated Business Planning process, developing and distributing monthly reports and analytics to key stakeholders to communicate trending for strategic decision-making.
- Works cross-functionally with marketing, consumer insights, sales, finance to ensure alignment on consensus forecast as well as month-end post-analysis.
- Ensure consistency of forecast assumptions across the business unit, including base business trends, promotional plans, new launch volumes, planogram changes and seasonal volume
- Communicate demand forecast plans and the assumptions behind them through the supply chain.
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on significant forecast-to-actual unit variances, perform root cause analysis and make the appropriate revisions within the demand plan.
- Lead in the creation of new product forecasts and their contribution to the product categories.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, IT, or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of Supply Chain Planning experience, Demand Planning Preferred, or other relevant business experience.
- Demonstrated analytical skills (ability to gain insights from data and drive outcomes with them).
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of tools.
- Experience with Supply Chain Planning Technology, Demand Planning required.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain from component supply through to finished goods shipments to customers.
- Demonstrated effective communication, facilitation, collaboration, and ability to influence.
- Ability to challenge the status quo.
- Demonstrated ability in successfully managing multiple projects and timelines.
- Influential leadership and demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and mentor.

- APICS, IBF or other Supply Chain Certification a plus
