Job Title: Senior Architectural Designer A firm with its roots headquartered in Detroit known globally for their projects and vision. Responsibilities: Support large and complex projects in terms of developing the design and oversight of project teams, and may lead some medium/large scale projects/ Creates and develops overall design concepts; formulates design presentation strategies and makes presentations. Develops innovative design concepts that are practical, aesthetic, safe and conducive to intended purposes and function, reflective of client goals and within project budget. Experience with coordinating construction documents and specifications indicating the full design intent and producing complete sets of construction documents. Can lead a major portion of a larger project, or functions effectively in the role of Design Lead on mid to large size projects. Defines program requirements and establishes design parameters based on client requirements and working with project architect/project manager. Participates directly in program development, as well as conceptual and schematic design, including space planning, layout, utilization of equipment, lighting specifications, color coordination. Strong verbal presentation skills, including hand sketching, to convey design direction. Understands zoning codes, building codes, accessibility requirements
