Job Overview & Responsibilities As a Security Specialist at ULA's Vandenberg Space Force Base, this individual will support launch operations for the ULA security program. Key responsibilities include: Ensures compliance with government and company regulations and polices through performance of compliance assessment reviews, self-inspections, administrative inquiries, and physical security, and communications security. Gathers and reviews information to determine appropriate protection methods are being implemented. Provides day-to-day oversight of Contract Security Officer team to include staffing, incident reporting, investigations, scheduling, and contract billing. Maintain relationships with external law enforcement, emergency responders, base security, and other government agencies. Supports information protection from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operations Security Program, Security Education & Awareness, procedures, and physical controls. Conducts Security Awareness training and education for ULA/Contractor personnel. Supports Site Security Lead with communication security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities to include inventory, distribution, and destruction in compliance with government requirements. Supports Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program Facility physical security compliance with testing, maintenance, anomaly investigations, and customer inspections. Provide support of VSFB ULA Crisis Management program to include emergency drill coordination, table top reviews, command media updates, and mass communication system tests and updates. Provide support to other ULA sites on a regular basis which may include about 10% of travel. Required Education Bachelor Required Years of Experience Minimum of 2 years of related work experience Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 4 years of directly related exempt work experience will be considered in lieu of the bachelor's degree requirement. Familiarity with Security and Emergency protocols, access control systems, and CCTV systems. Demonstrated outstanding communication skills, both written and oral. Working knowledge of computing office applications (e.g. word, PowerPoint, excel, etc.) Ability to represent company interests with minimum supervision and support team-oriented working environment. Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance required. US Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with NISPOM, NISPOMSUP, and current ICD-705. Special Access Program (SAP) experience with NSSL Customers. Summary Salary Range (forULA - Vandenberg AFB only): $63,977.00 - $106,629.00 Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations.
