Description
The Rotomold Machine Operator is responsible for the overall operations of the machine and the manufacturing of good quality parts.

Duties and Responsibilities - Programs and maintains the operation of the rotomold machine, including set up, shut down, temperature adjustments, filling buckets with powder, pulling completed parts, scraping and cleaning, as per work instructions.
- Understands rotational molding process, mold preparation, basic mechanics, and minor maintenance including mold releases, cleaning of parting lines, burn time, temperature, cooling, etc.
- Knows characteristics of standard resins, the proper cure, and how to check the cure.
- Ensures good quality parts are being produced.
- Reads and follows the molding process sheets, corrects errors and reports to supervisor or lead.
- Knows the quality standards of the machine as well as the critical dimensions and characteristics of each part and how to check to maintain consistency.
- Effectively conducts a first part inspection to approve set-up.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers, supervisors, prior and subsequent shifts.
- Organizes and cleans work area following each shift.
- Stocks production materials appropriately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Trade school and/or technical training is preferred.
- A minimum of one-year rotomold experience is required.
- Combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Skills and Abilities - Ability to use basic hand tools as well as the use of power tools, hoists, etc
- Adheres to safety practices while performing operating tasks.
