As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care unit, I provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, utilizing my expertise in clinical procedures and patient advocacy. I am responsible for managing patient loads, planning and implementing care strategies, and mentoring support staff to enhance the overall quality of patient experience. My role includes fulfilling necessary certifications and continuous education to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a demanding healthcare environment.
Acute Care Registered Nurse
Status/FTE: PT / 0.4-0.6 FTE
Shift length: 12 hours
Start Time: 1900
Unit: Acute Care
Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Two (2) 12-hour shifts per week. Every third weekend
Unit specific additional qualifications:
The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of acute patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
