A Registered Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatment, and ventilatory support to hospital inpatients and outpatients under medical supervision. The role requires certification, specialized training, and experience in respiratory care, along with essential life support certifications. Overview:

 

Under the supervision of the Respiratory Medical Director, the  Registered Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for patients in the Hospital and/or outpatients that require cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatment, and/or ventilatory support.

Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree/Certification as Respiratory Therapy Technician/Registered Respiratory Therapy Technician, RRT

     
  • Reg Resp Therapist ( NBRC )

     
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner - NM

     
  • One to three years experience in respiratory care

     
  • BLS certification required at time of hire

     
  • ACLS,NRP and PALS within 90 days from hire date
