Position Summary Virtuous is looking for a QA Tester with 2+ years experience in a formal QA Testing role to enable and accelerate our engineering teams working on new features and enhancing existing products. Our mission is to empower nonprofits with advanced responsive fundraising software that enhances giving and maximizes impact. As a critical member of our engineering organization, you will test and validate sophisticated, scalable B2B SaaS solutions in a collaborative environment. Your primary focus will be testing and validation of our family of CRM and related products.
Responsibilities - Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and enhancements.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing features remain intact with new releases
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure quality is considered throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participate in design and requirement reviews to identify potential issues early in the development process
- Work with the product management team to understand the requirements and user stories to develop effective test strategies
- Utilize Playwright to increase efficiency in testing and provide faster feedback to developers
- Provide detailed bug reports and ensure issues are resolved before release
- Maintain and improve test environments and frameworks to support test automation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process and overall product quality.
Must Haves - Should have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a QA Tester role
- Strong experience with software testing methodologies and best practices
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A passion for quality and a keen eye for detail
- Experience testing in a cloud-based environment
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Nice to Haves - Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
- Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger)
- Exposure and General understanding of automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright)
- Previous experience working in the nonprofit sector or a strong interest in philanthropy
