Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and creative Entry-Level Public Relations and Communications Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist in developing and executing PR strategies, crafting content, and supporting our communications efforts to enhance the company’s public image and strengthen relationships with key audiences.
This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with a passion for media, writing, and communications to gain hands-on experience in the public relations industry.
Key Responsibilities:Content Creation : Assist in writing and editing press releases, blog posts, social media posts, newsletters, and other written materials.
Media Outreach : Support the team in building and maintaining relationships with media contacts, including pitching stories and organizing interviews.
Social Media Management : Help manage social media accounts by creating posts, scheduling content, and monitoring engagement.
Event Support : Assist with the planning and coordination of PR events, press conferences, and media appearances.
Monitoring and Reporting : Track media coverage and prepare reports on PR efforts and outcomes.
Internal Communications : Assist with crafting internal communications to keep employees informed about company news and updates.
Research : Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media opportunities to support PR strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic social media management tools.
A passion for storytelling and public relations.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Internship experience or coursework in public relations, journalism, or communications.
Basic knowledge of media relations and PR best practices.
Experience with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, or PR software is a plus.
Creative mindset with an interest in branding and digital media.
