SOL Engineering Services is seeking a highly qualified Professional Project Manager who is an active member of the Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico (CIAPR) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing various engineering projects, ensuring they meet all technical specifications and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong technical skills, project management experience, and a commitment to professional excellence. The idea candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering or related field, excellent problem-solving skills and live in Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands territories.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, water supply systems, and dredging operations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental impact assessments.
• Prepare detailed engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop innovative design solutions.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Active member of the Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico (CIAPR).
• Certified PMP or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering or related field, or 8 years of experience as a professional civil engineer.
• Proficient in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred.

• Open to residents of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands only .
