Karen Kane is a well-established apparel brand that has been manufacturing women's apparel for nearly 45 years. We're a certified B Corp brand and have experienced rapid growth in recent years through ecommerce while continuing to have successful long-lasting relationships with major stores like Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's. From our start, our company has remained family-run and privately owned.

We're looking for a Production Office Assistant to support the planning and production of all women's apparel products that we manufacture. We take pride in the quality of our clothing and want to find an individual who will ensure that we meet the high standards we set for ourselves. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Organize and process seasonal information to vendors and management through the production process.
  • Prepare cuts and coordinate with domestic sewing contractors.
  • Help maintain Production department files and folders.
  • Issue production paperwork - purchase orders, cut tickets, etc.
  • Maintain & update quality assurance information for garments and fabric.
  • Create charts as needed by the Production team - and help update if needed.
  • Measure and inspect garments for quality, record information in Excel.
  • Handle send-outs - communicate regularly with vendors and follow-up as needed for information on production & fit samples. Send-outs include, but not limited to elastic shirring, eyelets, tie dye, garment dye & wash, welt pockets.
  • Adhere to production calendar and assist department in achieving all deadline goals.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Strong time-management, organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Minimum 1-2 years in women's apparel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge & experience in POM, measuring garments, import tech packs.
  • Experience with send-outs, duplicates.
  • Ability to complete document filing and other clerical duties.
  • Excellent communication skills.
