Looking to grow your career in manufacturing? Nesco Resource is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our client’s team in Clinton Township. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various departments while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Pay Rate : $17 - $18 per hour
Shift : Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM

• Occasional Saturdays
• Overtime opportunities based on production needs

What You’ll Do :

As a Production Assistant , you’ll play a key role in supporting multiple departments, ensuring smooth and efficient production. Your tasks will vary day-to-day, making the work dynamic and engaging.

• Laser Department : Assist with cutting and deburring metal parts.
• Spot-Welding : Support spot welding operations and clean assemblies for quality output.
• Press Room : Help with shearing and stamping parts.
• Shipping Department : Assist in packaging and transporting materials (chauffeur’s license required).
• Equipment Operation : Safely use angle grinders, wire wheels, and punch presses to create quality components.
• Material Handling : Operate Hi-Lo and other material handling equipment (Hi-Lo license required).
• ERP System : Scan jobs in and out to ensure efficient tracking of production.
• Maintain a Clean Workspace : Keep the shop and work areas tidy and organized for maximum productivity.

Skills & Qualifications :

• Experience with hand tools, metal cutting tools, tape measures, and calipers.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications, work orders, and work instructions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively report quality issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team .
• Chauffeur’s and Hi-Lo licenses required (or willingness to obtain).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
