This position involves working cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, purchasing, planning, and maintenance teams to implement new processes, equipment, and systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead projects for implementing new processes, equipment, and assembly systems. Identify improvement opportunities in safety, quality, throughput, and cost. Evaluate vendor proposals for equipment purchases and select suitable manufacturing processes. Utilize Lean manufacturing techniques, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis for continuous improvement. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently. Specify tools, jigs, and fixtures for processes and provide production support and troubleshooting. Develop visual work instructions and support cost reduction initiatives. Requirements Qualifications: Must Have: BS in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or 6 years of equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years of experience managing capital projects involving new equipment/systems. CAD experience required: AutoCAD, Pro E, SolidWorks, or Creo. 2-4 years of engineering project experience in a metal manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, capability studies, FMEA, and root cause analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Nice to Have: Knowledge of equipment and systems relevant to the discipline. Understanding of engineering principles and procedures. Skills and Abilities: Strong engineering design and project management skills. Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
