DIRECTV is seeking a seasoned, experienced Principal, Cybersecurity Engineer professional to serve as the lead for specific elements of cyber security, including network security policy oversight and ensuring protection and integrity of network infrastructure against evolving cybersecurity threats. Key responsibilities include serving as the escalation point for network security incidents, recommending and enforcing security policies, and responsibility for delivery of cybersecurity related features or analysis of on-going security threats. Here's what you'll do: Oversight for Network Security Operations and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) activities operated by service provider. Work with Suppliers and 3rd Parties during Security Incidents and assist in post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and recommend improvements for future incident response events. Oversight of network security policy including development, implementation and enforcement in conjunction with service provider. This includes security infrastructure including SASE, VPNs, IPS/IDS and network monitoring tools. Ensure network designs and configurations align with corporate security policy and compliance requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to align security policy with business objectives. Collaborate with teams and/or end users to identify and resolve network access issues triggered by security policies, such as URL web filtering, blocked ports, or restricted protocols Conduct periodic reviews and updates of network security polices to reflect latest best practices and evolving cybersecurity threats. Develop reporting and presentations for the senior leadership team. Leverage 3rd party tools to monitor brand identity protection and dark web scans for potential compromises of employee or customer data. Here's what you'll need: Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Information Security preferred. Progressive experience in cybersecurity with a focus on network security with in-depth knowledge of network security technologies such as (not limited to) Firewall, DNS, NAC, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SASE, and SD-WAN networks. Knowledge of security tools (Such as Google Chronicle and Palo Alto Networks) for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Endpoint Privileged Management (EPM), and SIEM/SOAR tools. Recognized industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security +, Network +, A +. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulations. Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex security issues to diverse audiences. May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data.
