Role Overview:

• Collaboration : Partner with classroom teachers to support English language development across all subject areas.
• Individualized Instruction : Provide one-on-one and small group lessons to address the unique needs of ELL students.
• Classroom Environment : Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning atmosphere where all students can thrive.
• Behavioral Standards : Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior to promote a secure and effective learning environment.
• Student Assessment : Regularly evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies to ensure continuous language development.
• Plan and Implement Lessons : Develop and execute instructional plans for English Language Learners (ELL), ensuring they meet both school and state guidelines.

Requirements

• Valid Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement.
• Experience as an ESL Teacher or in a related teaching role.
• Prior experience working with students from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree in TESOL or a related field is highly preferred.
