GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a results-driven Plant Manager to lead operations at our facility. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, driving production efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction and building principles. This individual will be intimately involved in setting up this new manufacturing location for our organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct and oversee all plant operations, including production, quality, safety, maintenance, and logistics.
  • Manage and mentor department supervisors, team leads, and production staff.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and accountability.
  • Develop and execute production schedules to meet project timelines and budget targets.
  • Ensure prefabricated units are built to spec and ready for on-time delivery to project sites.
  • Reduce waste and inefficiencies while improving productivity and product consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across our entire organization, such as engineering, design, and supply chain, to optimize processes and enhance product quality.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPI's) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action.
  • Implement standard work procedures, visual management systems, and other lean tools to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • P&L management and responsibility.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in lean manufacturing and construction.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a supervisor or manager, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Demonstrable experience with financial reports.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
  • Visual acuity and ability to read small print.
  • Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment; up to 50 lbs.
  • Mobility and ability to move around the facility as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Minimal risk of exposure to unusual elements.
  • Minimal risk of safety precautions.
  • General manufacturing environment.
