Job Description

Seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join our Gastroenterology Department in Urbana, IL.

• All services for Gastroenterology and Colon-Rectal surgeons are provided seamlessly in our new, centrally-located, state-of-the-art 10-suite Digestive Health Center which includes exam rooms, preparation and recovery bays, procedural rooms and space for research
• Recognized as One of America s 100 Best Hospitals for Gastrointestinal Care for 3 years in a row by Healthgrades
• Well-developed Interventional program and close collaboration with other academic institutions for liver transplant patients
• Support from GI Hospitalist and limited inpatient coverage required from outpatient physicians
• Enjoy individual clinical autonomy combined with the efficiency of a financially-sound and innovative multispecialty group practice
• Group participates in digestive clinical trials and is one of six facilities in IL to perform double balloon enteroscopies
• Team of seven Gastroenterologists and seven APPs supporting outpatient elective practice
• Excellent and experienced nursing staff and dietitian onsite
• Established research program located on-site in the department with a dedicated research coordinator; current studies include research pertaining to Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn s Disease
• Strong support for IBD program includes dedicated GME events as well as IBD support group for patients
