Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paramedic to join our team at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. The ideal candidate will possess both National Registry and state Paramedic certification, with a strong background in practical field experience. This role requires a professional who can function autonomously in the field during special operations training and act as an instructor for various critical life-saving courses. The Paramedic will also oversee the logistics of the EMS program, ensuring the maintenance and readiness of all equipment and supplies.
Key Responsibilities: - Instruction and Training:
- Serve as an instructor for American Red Cross CPR/AED, First Aid, First Responder courses, and the Combat First Aid Course.
- Conduct additional training classes as required by the agency.
- Field Operations:
- Function autonomously as a paramedic in the field during special operations training, operating under the standing orders of the EMS Medical Director.
- Provide emergency medical care and support in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- EMS Program Logistics:
- Oversee the logistics of the EMS program at Fort Chaffee, including the maintenance of all medical equipment and the inventory of supplies.
- Ensure that the EMS program is staffed appropriately with either yourself or PRN paramedics to meet the needs of agency training.
- Communicate effectively with the EMS Medical Director and other necessary personnel regarding the status and needs of the EMS program.
- Conduct annual Quality Assurance of the EMS program to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Support Duties:
- Assist the AED Program Coordinator with the management and maintenance of the AED program at Fort Chaffee.
- Drive government vehicles as required to support the EMS program and related activities.
- Additional Duties:
- Travel periodically to fulfill job requirements and participate in agency meetings as requested.
- Work overtime as needed to ensure the readiness and success of the EMS program.
Qualifications - Certification: National Registry and state Paramedic certification required.
- Experience: At least two years of practical field experience as a paramedic.
- Instructor Certification: American Red Cross Basic Life Support Instructor certification required.
- Security Clearance: Possess or be eligible for L Security Level clearance; Q clearance preferred.
Skills and Abilities: - Ability to function independently in high-pressure field situations during special operations training.
- Strong instructional skills with the ability to effectively teach life-saving courses.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage the logistics of the EMS program, including equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and staffing.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with the EMS Medical Director and other personnel.
- Flexibility to travel and work overtime as required.

Compensation - Min: $50,000/ Max: $90,000
This position is in the proposal stage, we are waiting to be awarded the project. Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
