Description On-Call Banquet Server The Banquet Server plays a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by providing exceptional food and beverage service during events. This position involves welcoming guests, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining professionalism throughout the event. Banquet Servers are also responsible for event setup, serving meals and drinks, and post-event cleanup, all while addressing guest needs and ensuring safety and satisfaction. THE DUTIES OF A BANQUET SERVER WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Set up banquet rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and event-specific décor according to specifications. Greet and welcome guests, guide them to their assigned seats, and present menus as needed. Serve appetizers, entrees, desserts, and beverages promptly and with a high level of attention to detail. Skillfully carry and present trays of food and beverages while ensuring proper portioning and presentation. Refill beverages, including water and wine, and address guest requests for special accommodations or dietary restrictions. Clear plates, reset tables, and assist with maintaining a tidy and organized event space during and after the event. Collaborate with other banquet staff and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service and resolve any operational challenges. Uphold health, safety, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with all company and event regulations. Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and address guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously. Assist with event breakdown and post-event cleaning to restore the venue to its original state. Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the success of events. Requirements Strong ability to create positive guest experiences by delivering attentive and courteous service. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members effectively. A collaborative mindset to work efficiently with a team in high-pressure environments. Precision in following event specifications, serving instructions, and addressing guest needs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods. Capable of lifting or pushing up to 35 lbs. Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is preferred. Food Handler Card (FHC) is preferred.
