Oconto Health and Rehabilition is offering an exciting opportunity for passionate Caregivers who want to become Certified Nursing Assistants for FREE! Oconto Health and Rehabilition is hiring for Nursing Assistants in Training to join our team to gain hands on experience in supporting and assisting the Nursing department. This position will require the Nursing Assistant in Training to complete the nursing assistant training program and obtain the certification at one of our partnered schools.
Potential duties during the transition:
- Completes admission and discharge inventory lists.
- Transports clean and soiled linen to the work area.
- Passes meal trays. Offers basic tray set-up. May assist with feeding, if competency demonstrated.
- Assists in carrying items to and from dining areas and Dietary Department during meal times.
- Passes coffee, water, providing alternative means, runner from dining area to Dietary during meal times.
- Transports patients to dining areas, activities, patient care conferences and to their rooms.
- Answers call lights-provides only basic assistance; no hands-on care allowed.
- Monitors and replenishes patient care articles, e.g., powder, lotion and gloves at patient bedside.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirement
- Previous experience in healthcare as a Caregiver or similar role
- Must be able to work a schedule either Full-Time or Part-Time
- Ability to work under stress and in emergency situations.
