Job Summary
We are seeking a Multidiscipline CAD Drafter to join our team! You will be working closely with Engineering personnel to create and maintain AutoCAD drawings to specifications that are detailed, accurate, and visually appealing. You will follow company CAD guidelines for all processes, including naming conventions, data storage, and layout standards. The ideal candidate has experience with AutoCAD or engineering, excellent communication skills, and works well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Take given specifications and draft accurate, attractive drawings in AutoCAD
• Creating and maintaining P&ID, Equipment Arrangements, Electrical Schematic drawings.
• Work closely with other members of the drafting team as well as design partners to verify accuracy and details
• Follow all company guidelines for best practices
• Track all time spent on projects accurately
• Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
• Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
• Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
• Estimate material and production costs for designs
• Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
• Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations

Qualifications

• Previous experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work well within a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Interpersonal skills to work within a small team, taking direction from Engineering Personnel
• Time management skills

The person in this position needs to operate a computer in a stationary position for the majority of their workday while occasionally move outside the office to examine equipment and piping arrangements. This role will require occasional ascending and descending stairs and ladders to examine mechanical equipment and piping arrangements.
